The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

This book was amazing! Greek mythology meets the modern day. Percy Jackson, the main character, takes his ancient friends across the continent to save the world from a godly feud that could result in the destruction of the world! Percy and his human friend, Annabeth, and Grover, who is a centaur, travel from New York to Los Angeles to find the peron who framed Percy Jackson. This person framed Percy for stealing Zeus's lightning bolt. This is a story that has some action and some Greek mythology with it. I recommend this book to 9-12 year olds but if you want to read a little bit about Greek history then go ahead and read it.
